CLOSE to a dozen new flats may be coming to Teignmouth as Teignbridge Council is set to consider a proposal for Barnpark Terrace.
The application - reference 26/00372/LBC - is seeking to obtain Listed Building Consent (LBC) to convert 15 and 16 Barnpark Terrace into ten, self-contained flats.
It is a re-submission of LBC that was granted in 2011 and has since expired.
The proposed work includes internal alterations, new access doorways, removal of a redundant lift shaft and window alterations
Teignbridge Council are due to make a decision by May 19.
If approved, number 15 and 16 Barnpark Terrace will be brought in the line with the rest of the property, one flat on each floor.
The scheme of work in general, ‘returns the houses to a more original arrangement’, the heritage statement says.
Once upon a time, Barnpark Terrace comprised a dozen houses and a hotel.
