A DEVELOPER still wants to build a new housing estate between Teignmouth and Bishopsteignton.

Most people thought the 'threat' of more homes on the western edge of Teignmouth had been lifted when it was rejected in the recent Local Plan, which outlines the areas of future development, but has yet to be approved by a planning inspector.

But now Waddeton Park Ltd has set alarm bells ringing by the news that it appears to be preparing a planning application for, it is understood, about 200 houses around fields in the Shepherds Lane area, between Inverteign School and the Moor View Drive.
