DIESEL polluted Teignmouth harbour at the weekend, but where it originated is a mystery.

It was first spotted on Friday evening in the Gales Hill fish quay - New Quay beach area and now an investigation is underway to try and discover the source.

Teignmouth harbourmaster Cmdr David Vaughan said members of the public raised the alarm after smelling diesel in the water.
