THE reopening of the storm ravaged Teignmouth pier will be celebrated in song.
The South devon Singers will perform a free gig there on Monday from 6.15pm to 7.30pm.
Based in Teignmouth and Ivybridge, the choir will incorporate familiar old favourites such as Daisy Bell, and I Do Like To Be Beside the Seaside, along with locally based songs specially written for them, including the Parson and the Clerk, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and the rousing Teign Rowing Club Song, commissioned a few years ago to celebrate the launch of a new gig.
