THERE were more than 1,700 people with Covid across Teignbridge over the past week and three people have died.

The latest Government figures show that between March 22 and 28, 1,767 people had a confirmed positive test result in Teignbridge. This shows an increase of 3.9% compared to the previous seven days.

Between March 22 and 28, there have also been three deaths in Teignbridge within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports that between March 14 and 20, 81 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows an increase of 42.1% compared to the previous seven days.
