MORE deaths from Covid have been reported in Teignbridge as the case rate falls.

Latest government figures show that between April 2 and 8, 933 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -38.1% compared to the previous 7 days.

But sadly, between the same dates there have been 16 deaths in Teignbridge within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

The Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports there were 65 patients in hospital with coronavirus on April 5 with two of them on a mechanical ventilator.
