A VAST array of war planes including Spifire, Hurricane and Grasshopper were on display in Newton Abbot town centre over the weekend.

Members of Kingsteignton-based Exeter and District Radio Control Club showcased 21 of their beloved static machines beside the clock tower on Saturday.

Hordes of people came to catch a glimpse of the planes including Dakota, Swordfish, Fulmar, P47 Thunderbolt, P47 Razor Black and Lysander – with a few spectators signing up to the club.
