THE possible arrival of pub chain Wetherspoon in Teignmouth is being met with a mixed response.

Many welcome the £2 million conversion of the derelict and tatty Tiggs store in Station Road/Lower Brook Street as a boost for the resort.

But some residents fear it could lead to increased noise, rowdyism, invasion of privacy, litter and extra traffic problems.
