POLICE are appealing for sightings of two teenage girls who were reported missing in Teignmouth.

Believed to be in the Teignmouth or Dawlish area, the pair – one aged 16 and the other 13 – went missing today (wed).

Officers put out appeals on the community messaging system hoping to hear from shops or taxi drivers who may have spotted them.

They are not described as being at high risk but police have concerns for their welfare. The girls, who have not been named, are thought to be together.

The 16-year-old is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall, of very slight build and with long, dark, straight hair. She was last seen wearing dark jeans, dark blazer and wears glasses and has a dark green rucksack with her.

The other girl is said to be white, 5ft 2in tall of medium build with long, brown hair. She was last seen wearing a white shirt, black skirt and leggings and also had a green rucksack.

Anyone who has seen either of the girls is asked to call police on 999 quoting log 236 of January 20.
