BLIND and visually impaired visitors will be able to find their way around Teignmouth much easier, thanks to special maps.

They have been produced by Teignbridge Council and donated to the Cliffden Hotel, which specialises in holidays for those with sight problems.

The tactile maps contain raised profiles of street layouts, with road names and useful information written in braille.

The donation was made after the council fulfilled a request from a visually impaired couple who had asked about tactile maps so they could make the most of staying in the area.
