A MAN from Ashburton has been charged with assault and resisting arrest.

Daniel Lord, 31, who gave a care of address in the town, was remanded on conditional bail by magistrates.

Lord has pleaded not guilty to a charge of assaulting a woman by beating in Tavistock on April 30 2022 and of resisting arrest on the same date, also in Tavistock.

The case was adjourned until July 29.
