A WOMEN’S Institute is gauging interest in their Christmas lunch for state pensioners.

High Moorland Women’s Institute, Princetown, are a group of 16 ladies based in Princetown, although some members live outside village.

The group meets on the first Wednesday of each month in Princetown Community Wall at 7.30pm, with meetings typically running until 9pm, perhaps even 9.30pm, on occasion.

On the second Wednesday of each month the group holds a free tea, coffee and cake slots, which are held at Princetown Community Hall from 11am to 12.30pm.

The proposed programme for the year includes a wide range of activities, with everything from informative talks, walks, Morris dancing, yoga, paper craft to more social sessions such as cheese and wine evenings and bingo.

At present, the group is gauging interest in its Christmas lunch for state pensioners.
