IT’S the biggest and the best in the South West, and this year’s was even better than ever, with hardly a dent from the weather.

That was the general consensus after the week of fun better known as Dawlish Celebrates Carnival.

Highlight of the week was the popular pram race, with some 30 teams racing around the town’s watering holes, while a slightly more sedate Red Barrows team entertained residents and holidaymakers earlier in the week.
