PEOPLE were given the chance to try their hand at bowls, thanks to a taster session.

Volunteering in Health linked up with the Bitton Park Bowls Club, Teignmouth, to offer the opportunity, and members of carer groups, memory cafes and general activities had a go.

Many had either never played before, or for various reasons were unable to get out and enjoy the sport any more.

Tina Graham, manager of Volunteering in Health said: 'Everyone at the club has made us feel very welcome.
