THE weekend Teignmouth RNLI open station event was a big success and raised more than £2,200.

Hundreds of residents and tourists were entertained by live music, games, stalls, met the crew and had the chance to get up close to the lifeboat, The Two Annes.

The rescue demonstration on the seafront was watched by a large crowd who were treated to a display by the beach lifeguards.
