A WATER leak was prompted the closure of a popular Teignbridge lido.

Teignmouth's popular outdoor pool is closed as of today, Thursday, August 24.

This is because of a water leak.

'We're sorry that we have had to close Teignmouth Lido Outdoor Pool due to a water leak' a spokesman for Teignbridge Leisure said.

'The pool will remain closed while we identify and repair the source of this leak.

'We are really sorry for the disappointment this will cause' the spokesman added.
