LESS than a week remains until Teignbridge District Council’s (TDC) Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) survey closes on Sunday, August 31.

TDC have already had more than 1,200 responses.

‘Thank you to everyone who’s already taken part!’, the council says.

‘But we want to hear from more people, so if you haven’t shared your views yet, now’s the time’, the council added.

Feedback will help shape the council’s proposal to Government.

In December 2024, the Government announced plans to simplify local government structures across England.

As part of Local Government Reorganisation, or LGR, areas like Devon - currently served by both district and county councils (a two-tier system) - are being asked to consider moving to a single-tier system known as a unitary authority.
