MANAGER of Newton Abbot’s Co-Op Bank Lewis Ashford has bagged himself a trophy for winning this year’s Shopmobility challenge.

Lucky Lewis took part in the 45 minute race, organsied by the town’s Community Transport ­Association, and came out ­victorious.

He had to travel around the town in a mobility scooter carrying out a series of tasks and answer questions to find out how user friendly – or not – the town is.

Lewis managed to fight off ­competition from entrants including the town’s mayoral couple Ann and Chris Jones.
