TRUSTEES of the Cave Music Project at Teignmouth have now completed all the required checks and a new lease arrangement was signed by them and by Teignbridge District Council on Monday.

The trustees now have keys for the Eastcliff building, which was closed on January 29, and are in a position to re-open the building.

As promised, The Cave Music Project will now be able to return to the building and enjoy rent-free use for seven months until September 30.

Alan Connett, Teignbridge Councillor responsible for Corporate Resources, said: ‘I’m delighted the Music Project is now back in the Cave, with all the checks, tests and new lease completed.

‘I’m grateful to the trustees and customers of the Music Project for their support in getting this done as quickly as possible and also to the officers at Teignbridge Council, who have helped to get the various arrangements and lease in place.

‘I wish the Music Project continued success and hope their search for a new temporary home from September will lead to a move to a permanent new base being arranged through Teignmouth Town Council.’
