THE moment we have all been waiting for is finally here. Lemonfest organisers have announced the date for its seventh music spectacle.

The festival, held at Newton Abbot Racecourse, will be taking place on Saturday, June 4.

The date of the event was in the balance as BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend snapped up the last weekend of May for its event at Powderham Castle but Lemonfest organisers couldn’t reveal any details.

Organisers can now reveal the first set of acts that will be gracing the stages which includes the Grammy award nominated The Life & Times of... The Hot 8, making them the first international band that will play at Lemonfest, coming from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Others acts include Beardyman, The Computers, The Church, Wildwood Kin, Frighdays, Regime and Barry Ashworth from the Dub Pistols.

Last year more than 4,500 people descended on the racecourse to witness the ‘independent boutique festival’ with more expected to rock up this year.
