THE Newton Abbot Lantern Parade is set to return on December 14.

Students from local primary schools will parade from Bearnes Primary School at 6.30pm to St Leonard’s Clock Tower.

For those interested in making their own lantern, a public workshop is to be held on Saturday, December 10 at the Avenue Church in Newton Abbot.

There will be two sessions, one in the morning from 10am until 1pm and an afternoon session from 2pm until 5pm.

Tickets for the workshop, which cost £5 and are limited in number, can be purchased from Newton’s Place, 43 Wolborough Street, Newton Abbot.

December 14 will also be an opportunity for some late night shopping and a chance to see Father Christmas on his sleigh, until 8pm.
