The unmistakable sight and sound of one of two only airworthy Avro Lancasters in the world caused Dawlish to stop and gaze skywards this afternoon (Friday)
The iconic aircraft, part of the RAF’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, made two stately passes over the town with her four Rolls Royce Merlins purring in harmony
The Lancaster’s appearance was of course part of the town’s celebrations for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
