A KINGSTEIGNTON man was sent to jail for six months for breaching a restraining order.

Ryan James Fellows, aged 41, of Falkland Drive, admitted that without reasonable excuse he sent messages by mobile phone and more than once met a woman when prohibited by a restraining order by Exeter Crown Court.

Jailing him the court ruled the offence was ‘so serious because the defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders, because the offence was aggravated by the defendant’s record of previous offending.’

He must pay £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and £128 to fund victim services.

Charges of assaulting another woman by beating and damaging a front door and safety gate were withdrawn as no evidence was offered.
