RAIN threatened to spoil the climax of Dawlish Celebrates Carnival last week, but plenty of hardy souls donned their coats and lined the streets despite Friday’s torrential conditions.

Floats and walking entries of all shapes and sizes paraded along the route through the town, with awards on offer in a range of categories.
