Glyn Kneebone has just completed his year as captain of Teignmouth Golf Club.

Traditionally, the captain nominates charities to benefit from the very significant charity fund-raising that goes on throughout the year at a wide range of club events.

Glyn nominated The helen Foundation as one of his charities and last week presented a cheque for £4,000 to the foundation as a share of the club's £10,000 fund-raising efforts during his year in post.

This is an amazing effort from the whole club, particularly considering the tough economic times we live in when fund-raising of any kind is a struggle.
