POLICE are stepping up their hunt for a potential killer who is endangering life on the road by throwing a bizarre range of missiles at passing cars in and around Newton Abbot.
The reckless offender is reckoned to have struck nearly 20 times in the last three months by hurling root vegetables at moving traffic along the A380 between the Ideford Dip and Torquay, taking in Penn Inn and Kingskerswell.
