BOVEY Tracey Garden Club held their annual summer show this past weekend.

The Bovey Tracey Garden Club Summer Show, held at Parke View Meadow on Saturday, August 13, also featured a brass band and classic cars.

Show secretary Liz Stockwell said: ‘It went well, we were a little worried in advance with the weather had been so hot and dry that we wouldn’t be seeing a huge array of blooms and vegetables but we were really, really ipressed with the exhibits our contributors brought along on the day.

‘They were fantastic and the judges were very impressed as well, they thought the array of colour and the variety of vegetables people had been able to produce in the recent conditions was fantastic.

‘We had a huge range of divisions, we had vegetables, we had flowerrs, a domestic section, a handicraft section, a photography section and more.

‘A huge range of opportunities for people to take part in, we always encourge new entrants to come along and give it a go.’
