A HORSE was killed following a collision with a van at the weekend.

Police were called just after 4pm on Saturday, December 3, following a collision between a van and the animal on the A381 at Ipplepen.

The horse, which was riderless, died as a result of the collision which happened near Red Post.

The occupants of the van were uninjured. Following the incident the road was blocked and closed for a short time, and was reopened at 6.10pm.
