A COUNTY councillor says he is 'more optimistic than ever' that progress is being made on the proposed Teign estuary cycle-walkway.

Speaking after a briefing with officers at County Hall, Exeter, on Wednesday, Cllr Chris Clarance, of Shaldon, said it was a 'very positive meeting'.

He said: 'I know there is huge support for this route, and people are becoming increasingly frustrated and annoyed at the apparent lack of progress.
