HUNDREDS of bikers from across Devon headed for Teignmouth in memory of a motor cycle enthusiast. John Raynor, from Teignmouth, who died suddenly in his sleep in April.
The event was held in his honour and also marked the first anniversary of the weekly meetings of the Whistlestop Bikers.
Their regular gatherings at the Whistlestop Cafe have been a familiar sight at the railway station car park on Tuesday evenings and in the last year they have raised more than £5,000 for a variety of local charities and the cafe's own charity Operation Imprezza, which raised money to help children in Kenya.
As well as bikers, the meeting also attracted 20 scooterists who went along to pay their respects and will now be joining the swelling ranks of bikers at the monthly event.
