A TEIGNBRIDGE holiday park has submitted plans to add more than 50 holiday apartments at its site near Chudleigh, aiming to appeal to those seeking short and off-season breaks.
Submitted by Haulfryn Group, the application - reference 26/00908/MAJ - is seeking permission to replace the existing reception building, offices and sales display area at Finlake Holiday Park with 54 self-catering, one-bedroom holiday apartments.
The planning application has been drawn together following a pre-application planning enquiry consultation with Teignbrdge Council, which determined that the proposal for one-bedroom units was ‘acceptable’
Teignbridge Council are due to make a decision by October 26.
The area proposed for the new holiday apartments incorporates the existing reception and offices building area, an existing tarmacadam driveway that circumvents the reception building, existing car park and hard surfaced display area for holiday lodges.
Small single bedroom holiday apartments are proposed, to fulfil the demand for such holiday accommodation, the planning statement for 26/00908/MAJ says.
The holiday apartments are located in three separate blocks of accommodation on the ground floor and first floor.
Owned and managed by Haulfryn Group Ltd, Finlake Resort is accessed off the A38 via the B3344.
Existing facilities include a water park, Sirona Spa with treatment rooms, new leisure pool, fitness suite, gymnasium and more.
