NOURISH, the renowned Bovey Tracey food festival returns for its 10th year on September 9.
From 10am-5pm, the town’s Fore Street will be closed to traffic, when some 60 food and drink stalls – more than ever before – will be offering the world on a plate – and in a glass. Street musicians will be entertaining for most of the afternoon outside The Cromwell Arms.
The line up of jazz, folk and acoustic musicians comprise The Louise Parker Trio, Mike Cosgrave and Sophia Culkin, and Faulkner, Penny & Turk
Nourish is a community initiative led by The Cheese Shed and the world-famous Craft Festival.
To reflect that link, the Methodist Church hall in Le Moly-Littry Way is opening its doors to stage a Meet the Makers event. From 10am-5pm it offers a chance to browse and buy from some of the South West’s best crafters.
Team member Susan James said: ‘There will be 15 of the finest makers all of whom come from within 25 miles of Bovey Tracey. It’s a truly local event.’
