THE rapid fall in Covid cases continues in Teignbridge with 84 new people having a confirmed positive test result reported on February 25.

Between February 19 and 25, 565 people had a positive test result, a decrease of -33.2% compared to the previous seven days.

There was one death within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported in the district on February 25.

Between February 19 and 25, there have been three deaths within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

TESTS

There were 3,137 tests reported on 24 February 2022. This shows a decrease of -25.5% compared to the previous seven days.

HOSPITAL

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports the number of people going into hospital is falling and there were 16 patients in hospital with coronavirus on February 22, no-one was on a mechanical ventilator on the same day.
