ONE death and 153 new people had a confirmed positive test result for Covid reported in Teignbridge on January 13.

According to the latest Government figures between January 7 and 13, 1,186 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -24.6% compared to the previous seven days.

Vaccinations in Teignbridge: 111,621 people had been given a first dose by the end of January 12.

105,160 people had been given a second dose by the end of January 12.

88,457 people had been given a booster or third dose by the end of January 12.

Healthcare in Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust: Five people with coronavirus went into hospital on January 9.

Between January 3 and 9, 30 people went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows a decrease of -18.9% compared to the previous seven days.

There were 34 patients in hospital with coronavirus on January 11.

There was one coronavirus patient in hospital bed with a mechanical ventilator on the same day.

Sadly, there was one death within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported in Teignbridge on January 13.
