DAWLISH Community Hospital’s Minor Injuries Unit will be closed for the rest of the week, health bosses have announced.
The unit, which reopened last year after being closed for several years, has already been shut for two days this week.
Now it will also be shut tomorrow, Thursday October 30, and Friday October 31.
No reason has been given for the current closures which have meant the unit, which treats minor injuries such as cuts, sprains and scalds, has only been open one day out of five.
A spokesman for Torbay and South Devon NHS Trust said: ‘If you have an urgent but non-life-threatening injury or condition, we recommend visiting our Urgent Treatment Centre at Newton Abbot Community Hospital.
‘Thank you for your understanding, we apologise for any disruption this may cause.’
