BOTH the number of cases and people going into hospital are going down.

In Teignbridge 63 new people had a confirmed positive test result reported on February 19.

The latest Government figures show that between February 13 and 19, 804 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -28.0% compared to the previous seven days.

Again, there were no deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported in the district on February 19.

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust reports that five people with coronavirus went into hospital on February 13.

There were 19 patients in hospital with coronavirus on February 15.

There were no coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on February 15.
