219 new people had a confirmed positive test result on December 28 according to the latest Government figures.
This means that between December 22 and 28, 933 people had a confirmed positive test, showing an increase of 33.5% compared to the previous seven days.
Healthcare in Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust:
One person with coronavirus went into hospital on December 19.
Between December 13 and 19 December 2021, 18 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows a decrease of -30.8% compared to the previous seven days.
There were 25 patients in hospital with coronavirus on December 21.
There were two coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on December 21.
Fortunately there were no deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on December 28.
