AS booster vaccinations went on apace today (Monday) at Newton Abbot Racecourse, 109 new people in Teignbridge had a confirmed positive Covid test result yesterday (Sunday).
This is according to the latest Government figures which also show that between December 14 and 20, 692 people had a confirmed positive test result. This shows a decrease of -3.8% compared to the previous seven days.
Vaccinations in Teignbridge:
111,023 people had been given a first dose by the end of yesterday, Sunday, December 19. 104,288 people had been given a second dose by the end of December 19.

The latest available figures show one person with coronavirus went into hospital on 12 December 12. Between December 6 and 12, 26 went into hospital with coronavirus. This shows an increase of 13.0% compared to the previous seven days.
There were 26 patients in hospital with coronavirus on December 14. There were three coronavirus patients in hospital beds with a mechanical ventilator on December 14.
Deaths in Teignbridge:
There were no deaths within 28 days of a positive test for coronavirus reported on December 20.
