A grateful Teignmouth woman who underwent a double lung transplant two years ago has said thank you to her medical team with a cheque for more than £1,300, writes Nigel Canham.
Patricia Colkin was given the lifesaving treatment at Harefield Hospital having suffered for many years with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
The 60-year-old mother of two, whose husband Tony runs his barber's business in The Triangle, said the change was beyond description.
'It gave me my life back,' she said.
