THE wild weather that devastated the main railway line between Teignmouth and Dawlish may have subsided, but it left major problems that are causing a big headache for engineers.
This year, the trouble came from cliff falls in the torrential rains, rather than the usual winter pounding against the sea wall by the waves.
Mudslides poured down across the track, and caused closures and disruptions.
