Golfers Tom Hicks, Ian Jarman and Mark Jarrett, from Teignmouth Golf Club, are set to swing into action for charity next week by taking part in Macmillan's Longest Day Golf Challenge.

The team will tee off at the club, where they hope to raise more than £750 in sponsorship for the cancer care charity by playing four rounds of golf in just one day, on Tuesday,

Team members Tom and Ian, who attend Torquay Boys Grammar School, have been taking their GCSE exams and play off a handicap of 11 and 14 respectively, making them two of the youngest and most able participants in the challenge.
