ULTRAMARATHON runner Kevin Carr is pushing his limits once again.

The Ilsington athlete, who completed a record-breaking circumnavigation of the world at Haytor in April, is to compete in the grueling Icarus Race in Florida on Monday.

He was invited by organisers to take part in the race, held in Fort Lauderdale, which will see him run as many miles as he can in six days with little sleep and hot temperatures.

Mr Carr said: ‘I’m not at my peak of fitness yet, my body is still recovering from all I put it through for the world run.
