POLICE are holding a free bike marking event in a Teignbridge village this month.

The Teignmouth and Dawlish Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team will be at the Strand car park in Starcross on September 28.

Officers will be on hand from 10am until 2pm.

A spokesperson for the Teignmouth and Dawlish Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team said: ‘This is a free event to register your bicycle with bike register on the National Cycle database’.

The event is also an opportunity to meet and speak to your local rural policing team.

‘Everyone is welcome and it would be great to see you there’, the spokesperson added.
