THEY are digging up the road in Teignmouth town centre again.

After weeks of laying new gas mains in Orchard Gardens, which caused a lot of traffic chaos and inconvenience to residents, the workmen are now turning their attention to the Wellington Street/Den Road area.

It means no traffic can go along Wellington Street for a while, and a traffic light system is in operation for the single lane along Den Road.

The upheaval is causing short term pain for many, but it is essential work and at least it is not being done in the middle of the holiday season.
