FREE swimming lessons are being offered to children and adults at a popular outdoor swimming pool in Teignbridge thanks to funding by South West Water.

The more than 100-year-old Buckfastleigh Pool said it was ‘absolutely delighted’ at the water company awarding it funding from its ‘Better Future Fund’.

The pool says it will be offering eight places for a bock of six lessons.

And it is asking its users for input

‘We would love your input: Weekend or weekday? Daytime or evening? This will help us plan sessions that work best for you’, the pool said via its Facebook page.

Victoria Park / Buckfastleigh Open Air Pool is a registered charity, established in the 1897. At 126 years old it is one of the oldest pools in England.
