With a new store opening at Trago Mills, it brings into question the fate of the Pavers store at Newton Road Retail Park.
Home Bargains’ expansion bid, which will see it relocate from its Kingsteignton Retail Park store to units two and three of Newton Road Retail Park, occupied by Pavers and Matalan respectively, was approved by Teignbridge Council in October 2025.
Cottons Traders, which traded out of the Pavers store, recently relocated to Market Walk in the centre of Newton Abbot.
It is not entirety clear, therefore, what is to become of the Newton Road Retail Park store.
The Mid-Devon Advertiser has contacted both Pavers and Trago Mills for clarity.
Matalan have also been approached with regards to its future plans in the area.
