THE future of Buckfastleigh’s Victoria Park is up for discussion during public consultations tonight and Sunday.

The park’s trustees are working on plans to improve and enhance the much-loved 127-year-old park at the heart of the community. Initial designs will be on display during the consultations at Buckfastleigh Town Hall.

Cllr Pam Barrett, chairman of the trustees, said: ‘This is your park. We want your input and need your support. Please take the opportunity to come along, see what might be possible and tell us what you think.’

Responsibility for running the park transferred from Teignbridge Council to the community-led group of trustees in April as part of the project to save the town’s open-air swimming pool.
