THE NINTH Dawlish Fix Fest was said to have been a big success with a steady stream of people needing items to be fixed.
Electrical experts were kept busy all morning at the Manor House helping with radios, tape players and food processors.
Organisers said even a treasured standard lamp which the owner thought would never work again was brought back to life.

Geoff King, one of Fix Fest organisers, said: ‘Our computer, sewing and jewellery experts were also well occupied with everyone pleased to see items being given a new lease of life.
‘We hope to be holding another event in the Autumn so please keep an eye out for details.’
It was estimated about 30 people came in for help with repairs.
There was no charge for any work but donations were made which will go to Dawlish Hospital League of Friends whose fund raising provides the hospital with equipment and services.
