FIREFIGHTERS called to a chimney fire in a Teignbridge village went back to basics by using buckets of water to stop the fire.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service mobilised crew from Middlemoor’s on-duty crew just after 6pm on Monday evening [December 1].
Upon arrival at a property in Kenton, the crew got to work tackling the chimney fire.
Thankfully, the property owner had successfully shutdown and suppressed part their fireplace.
As such, crew got to work using a thermal image camera, short extension ladder, chimney gear and buckets of water to extinguish the fire from the fire grate.
The incident was wrapped up just after 8pm.
