A TEIGNBRIDGE fire station is celebrating as one of its crew passed his Incident Command (IC) qualification.
Buckfastleigh Fire Station have been heaping the praise on its own Robin Hughes, who recently passed his IC course.
This means Firefighter Hughes, pictured, can now take the fire engine out as the officer in charge
And Firefighter Hughes has already dealt with a number of incidents since passing the course, not least the recent incident in Plymouth involving a WWII bomb.
A spokesperson for the station said: ‘Robin has worked hard to achieve this milestone by running numerous scenario drills and a large amount of self study, he attended a five day course where he had to prove he could safely run various incidents to a satisfactory conclusion, he performed to the highest of standards.
‘Nice one Robin, we are all proud of your efforts and results and how you have helped make our station and team that little bit more resilient’.
